About The Position

About Executive Millwork

Executive Millwork has been Western Canada's premier commercial woodwork shop for over 40 years. We design and build the architectural millwork behind hospitality venues, large public spaces, and complex commercial projects across the region. We're known for craftsmanship, on-time delivery, and a team that's been doing this long enough to know what good looks like.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager who can hit the ground running on $1M+ commercial millwork projects. You'll own three to five projects at a time, from kickoff through final installation including managing schedules, budgets, change orders, client relationships, and shop floor coordination.

This isn't a role for someone who needs a lot of handholding. We move fast, projects have real complexity, and we expect our PMs to bring their own judgment from day one. In return: you'll work on visible, high-quality projects, with a respected brand behind you, and a team that will back your decisions.

We're based in Calgary but open to strong remote candidates with the right millwork experience.

What you'll do

•     Own the full project lifecycle on commercial millwork projects ($1M+ typical)

•     Build and maintain accurate project schedules

•     Lead project kickoffs and ongoing coordination with drafting, production, and installation

•     Be the primary point of contact for clients including site visits, design meetings, change orders

•     Review shop drawings and optimize for efficient production without compromising quality

•     Complete material takeoffs and coordinate with Purchasing on lead times

•     Document and track change orders, job costs, and progress billing

•     Take site measurements and brief drafting on updates

•     Mentor Junior Project Managers and Coordinators

Nice to have

•     University degree or college diploma in construction, engineering, or a related field

•     Advanced drafting or equipment programming experience

•     Experience with INNERGY or similar ERP systems

•     LEAN or continuous improvement background

What we offer

•     Competitive salary, commensurate with experience

•     Performance-based bonus

•     Comprehensive health and dental benefits

•     Stability — we've been doing this for 40+ years

•     Work-life balance and a family-oriented team

•     Beer Fridays, Stampede BBQs, Christmas parties, real community engagement

•     Projects you'll be proud to point at

Requirements

•     5+ years managing commercial millwork or construction projects with $1M+ budgets

•     Deep, hands-on knowledge of architectural millwork; you can read a set of drawings and immediately spot the risks

•     Strong relationships with clients, GCs, subtrades, and your own team

•     Change management instincts — you can shift direction when a project shifts

•     Fluency reading and interpreting blueprints and shop drawings

•     Comfort working in a fast-moving environment without a lot of process to lean on

•     Strong computer skills (Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite etc.)
