Kate Ashton, BA, CPHR

Kate makes it all look easy. She has had 15 years’ experience developing her expertise and really has “seen it all”. She has the skills to cut through the clutter and offer superior consultation and support to clients on issues related to Employee Relations & Workplace Investigations, Employment Law, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Learning & Development, Talent Management, Organizational Development, Compensation and Employment Branding. She will work tirelessly as a strategic partner with business leaders, advising best practices for optimizing the workplace experience and becoming an employer of choice. Outside of work, Kate enjoys skiing in the winter and camping (ok, “glamping”) in the summer.

Lindsay Lawler, M.A.

Lindsay has worked in Human Resources in the luxury hotel industry for the past 12 years and most recently, in a senior leadership role directly supporting the strategic initiatives of the organization and everything “people”. She is passionate about creating positive employee experiences and has a broad scope of services to include employee relations, talent management, learning & development, compensation, workplace investigations, recruitment & retention and organizational development. Lindsay’s drive for delivering high quality service and strong interpersonal skills make her a great business partner for her client’s HR needs. In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys a variety of outdoor activities with her family.

If anyone can make payroll and benefits seem exciting and fun, it’s Jennifer. Her genuine interest and advanced skill in these areas help streamline her clients’ important payroll and benefit functions, something the managers and leaders Jennifer works with find incredibly valuable. After years of working in large government organizations, Jennifer is really enjoying working with smaller companies where she is able to truly get to know the people. When not busy with her clients, Jennifer loves to seek adventures with her husband and two kids.

Jessie is Human Resources Services Coordinator who brings energy, experience, and knowledge to every client she works with. Jessie has held various positions in HR with a strong focus on talent acquisition, onboarding, talent development, performance management, succession planning, employee engagement, and organizational management. Having earned her Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a concentration in Human Resources and Organizational Behaviour, her goal was and still is to assist her clients in developing and implementing strategies to support a positive and productive workplace. In her free time, Jessie enjoys keeping active on the spin bike or golf course, and relaxing with her friends, family, and fur-child, Boots the cat.

As an HR Consultant, Dana has a versatile background in Human Resources in both large and small organizations. Focal points of her experience include Performance Management, Recruitment, Policies & Procedures, Talent Management and Terminations/Career transition support. Dana believes in creating strong client relationships to help deliver consistent results on both a strategic and tactical level.

Pia Collins, CPHR
Pia is a strong proponent of energizing and engaging employees in support of business goals, and of encouraging personal growth within an organization. She possesses extensive experience in building and motivating high-performance teams, and believes in building leadership at all levels of an organization. An HR veteran with more than 20 years’ experience, Pia’s experience comes from a wide range of industries, including hospitality, not for profit, funds management and health care. Her previous roles include responsibility for all human resources initiatives including strategic workforce planning, recruitment, training and leadership and culture development. Pia’s education includes the Human Resources program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and also graduated from the Sauder School of Business Strategic Leadership and Project Management programs. Pia is a long-standing Vancouver resident and avid runner, and has also served as a Human Resources mentor and sat on a number of boards sharing her expertise.
