Kate Ashton, BA, CPHR
Director, Human Resources & Business Operations

Kate makes it all look easy. She has had 15 years’ experience developing her expertise and really has “seen it all”. She has the skills to cut through the clutter and offer superior consultation and support to clients on issues related to Employee Relations & Workplace Investigations, Employment Law, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Learning & Development, Talent Management, Organizational Development, Compensation and Employment Branding. She will work tirelessly as a strategic partner with business leaders, advising best practices for optimizing the workplace experience and becoming an employer of choice. Outside of work, Kate enjoys skiing in the winter and camping (ok, “glamping”) in the summer.

Kendal Timberlake, BBA, CPHR

Kendal has always known she would be working in Human Resources. Her drive, determination, and passion for this field has not wavered and is demonstrated with each valued client. Kendal has the invaluable ability to translate a client’s goal into action. Her solid experience and friendly personality result in successful projects and happy clients. In her spare time, we can find Kendal spending time with her husband, family and two adored cats.

Lindsay Lawler, M.A.
Director of Operations West

Lindsay has worked in Human Resources in the luxury hotel industry for the past 12 years and most recently, in a senior leadership role directly supporting the strategic initiatives of the organization and everything “people”. She is passionate about creating positive employee experiences and has a broad scope of services to include employee relations, talent management, learning & development, compensation, workplace investigations, recruitment & retention and organizational development. Lindsay’s drive for delivering high quality service and strong interpersonal skills make her a great business partner for her client’s HR needs. In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys a variety of outdoor activities with her family.

Kimberley Erickson, BA

Kimberley is all about providing exceptional service. Helping clients execute their “people” strategy is right up her alley. After years of working in large government organizations, Jennifer is really enjoying working with smaller companies where she is able to truly get to know the people. When not busy with her clients, Jennifer loves to seek adventures with her husband and two kids.

Jessie is Human Resources Services Coordinator who brings energy, experience, and knowledge to every client she works with. Jessie has held various positions in HR with a strong focus on talent acquisition, onboarding, talent development, performance management, succession planning, employee engagement, and organizational management. Having earned her Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a concentration in Human Resources and Organizational Behaviour, her goal was and still is to assist her clients in developing and implementing strategies to support a positive and productive workplace. In her free time, Jessie enjoys keeping active on the spin bike or golf course, and relaxing with her friends, family, and fur-child, Boots the cat.

Kristina Clayton, BA, CPHR
Human Resources Consultant

Kristina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and her Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) professional designation. Kristina’s professional experience extends across different industries and this diversity allows Kristina to bring knowledge in many aspects of the profession including succession management, compensation, workplace investigations, leadership coaching, competency development, training and organizational development. She has worked with many different client groups, from engineering, sales, finance, operation management to field, supporting these groups across Canada. In addition, she has worked in the US supporting a global business that was across fifty plus countries. When she is not working, Kristina can be found with her husband and dog out exploring nature with their cameras.

Stefan Holm,
Stefan is an experienced entrepreneur and business professional, with more than a decade of experience in hospitality operations. Stefan has experience with both large and small-scale operations: launching new concepts for the largest restaurant group in Canada, and later creating and operating his own restaurant group in Vancouver. This experience has given him a passion for creating and implementing brand standards and practices for all sizes of businesses. Whether it is developing and implementing best in class quarterly compliance reviews, to overseeing strategic planning, operations and staffing; Stefan is focused on ensuring brands have the tools and systems to measure and deliver exceptional results. Stefan has joined Inspired Hr as Project Lead in launching our new sister company, Inspired Workplace Certification & Community. Outside of work Stefan is an avid skier, and loves new and emerging technology.

Linda is an experienced Human Resources leader with a progressive career spanning over 25 years. She has worked in a variety of business settings such as energy start-ups, family run organizations and established Fortune 100 companies. Her experience covers many aspects of Human Resources from Recruitment to Employee Relations, Compensation, HR Policies as well as Training and Development. Linda is passionate about delivering high quality service to her clients, and she is known for her supportive and practical approach. Outside of work, Linda enjoys adventuring outdoors, cooking, and travelling. Her triumphs include scuba diving in the Maldives and cycling in Hawaii and Italy. Rounding out her impressive list of hobbies is community volunteer work and enjoying time with family and friends.

She has progressive experience in public and private sectors including local, national, global and unionized environments. At home in the GTA (Ontario), Mara is busy managing life with two boys and playing an active role in their competitive sport teams.

Sue Gundesen, BA, Bcomm, CPHR
Sue is an engaged and enthusiastic Human Resources professional with over 20 years of experience. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to gain knowledge and expertise in Leadership Development, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, Change Management, Training, Succession Planning, and building a positive employee relations culture in multiple locations. Within this, she has worked with multiple stakeholders, from Executive to Associate levels. Sue’s background is grounded in customer service driven environments, so she understands what business leaders need in order to attract, develop and retain their top talent. She also brings over a decade of experience as an Operations Manager, which has helped her to combine a people focus with solid business understanding.
Pia Collins, CPHR
Pia is a strong proponent of energizing and engaging employees in support of business goals, and of encouraging personal growth within an organization. She possesses extensive experience in building and motivating high-performance teams, and believes in building leadership at all levels of an organization. An HR veteran with more than 20 years’ experience, Pia’s experience comes from a wide range of industries, including hospitality, not for profit, funds management and health care. Her previous roles include responsibility for all human resources initiatives including strategic workforce planning, recruitment, training and leadership and culture development. Pia’s education includes the Human Resources program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and also graduated from the Sauder School of Business Strategic Leadership and Project Management programs. Pia is a long-standing Vancouver resident and avid runner, and has also served as a Human Resources mentor and sat on a number of boards sharing her expertise.

Trevor brings a breadth of experience in the Human Resources realm to each client he serves. His experience in the recruitment process focusses on ensuring quality hires are aligned with the organization’s competencies and values. His natural curiosity and interest allows him to acquire a deeper understanding of workplace dynamics and business strategies, which in turn leads to more successful candidate recruitment.  Having graduated with an Honours Bachelors’ Degree in Management and Organizational Studies, Trevor has a passion for integrating various philosophies of human resources and human capital management into his work. When not inspiring others with his perpetual enthusiasm for people practices, Trevor can be found hitting the slopes on our local mountains.
