Project Coordinator
About The Position
About Executive Millwork
For more than 40 years, Executive Millwork has been Western Canada's premier commercial millwork shop. We design and build the architectural woodwork behind hospitality venues, public spaces, and complex commercial projects across the region — and we've earned a reputation for craftsmanship, reliability, and a team that sticks around. We're an established, family-oriented shop that takes craft seriously and treats people well.
The Role
We're hiring a Project Coordinator to support our Senior Project Managers and keep millwork projects moving from kickoff through installation. You'll be the connective tissue between clients, our drafting and production teams, and the field — making sure nothing falls between the cracks on projects ranging from small fit-outs to multi-million-dollar commercial builds.
This is a great seat for someone who already has some millwork, manufacturing, or construction exposure and wants to grow into a Project Manager role. We're not looking for someone we must walk through the basics; we want someone who can pick up the rhythm fast in a busy, hands-on shop.
What you'll do
• Track project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables alongside the PM
• Keep documentation organized including shop drawings, material lists, change orders, RFIs, approvals
• Coordinate with production to make sure components are built and delivered on time
• Run material takeoffs and match them against RFIs
• Coordinate logistics for delivery, installation, and site visits
• Catch potential issues early and help solve them before they become delays
• Visit sites to verify progress and quality
Nice to have
• Background in custom millwork, cabinetry, CNC, or architectural woodwork
• Experience with LEAN or continuous improvement
• Drafting or design exposure
• Post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or a related trade
What we offer
• Competitive salary and comprehensive health and dental benefits
• A real career path - we develop coordinators into PMs
• Genuine work-life balance and a tight-knit team
• Company events: Stampede BBQ, Christmas parties, Beer Fridays, social events
• The chance to work on projects you'll see come together in real, public spaces
Requirements
• Project coordination experience in millwork, cabinetry, manufacturing, or commercial construction
• Comfort reading shop drawings and architectural blueprints
• Strong organizational instincts; you can hold a lot of moving pieces without dropping any
• Solid computer skills (Bluebeam, MS Office etc.)
• Excellent communication; you'll be talking with clients, contractors, and our shop floor every day
